Antony Manchester United transfer latest - deal truth, player stance, Erik ten Hag backing

Antony has been subject of wide speculation over his future as he looks to regain his form at Manchester United.

Despite attracting interest from clubs during the summer transfer window, Antony is determined to fight for his place at Old Trafford. He is yet to justify the £86million price tag United paid for him when Erik ten Hag pushed hard to bring him from Ajax.

He impressed during his first few games but soon lost his way and has struggled to show consistency. In his debut season, Antony featured 38 times in all competitions and started 15 games in the Premier League. But that was not backed by goals however, as he scored just once.

This season so far, the 24-year-old has only made one league appearance during the late 2-1 defeat at Brighton. With that said, MEN Sport has taken a look at the latest surrounding the player.

Last week, reports in Turkey claimed Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce were keen to sign the winger on loan for the rest of the campaign. Clubs in Brazil, Spain and Turkey have all made enquiries about the 24-year-old's availability but the club have insisted that he wants to stay and fight for his place.

However, MEN Sport understands Fenerbahce have no interest in signing the winger. The Turkish Super Lig transfer window closes on September 13 and, despite widespread speculation, Mourinho is not interested in Antony.
