Antonio Tiberi suspended by Trek-Segafredo for 'reprehensible' act of killing cat with gun

Trek-Segafredo have suspended Antonio Tiberi for 20 days without pay after he was fined by the courts in San Marino for killing a cat with a gun, an act his team described as «reprehensible». Tiberi – who was fined £4,000 for the incident – has issued a lengthy statement on his Instagram page apologising, describing his actions as «tremendously stupid and irresponsible». He said he had no intentions of killing the animal.
