Antonio Conte could turn to Tottenham's January signings against Wolves

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has hinted that the clubs two January signings could start for the first time in Sunday's match against Wolves.

Spurs host Wolves in a clash between two teams who are separated in the Premier League by just two points although Tottenham have a game in hand.

Conte brought in Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from his former club Juventus on deadline day last month.

Swedish winger Kulusevski joined the North London club on loan whilst Argentine midfielder Bentancur completed a permanent move.

And both could be set to start for Spurs this weekend.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, Conte said: "For sure this could be a possibility. We have another day of training to make our decision.

"They are working with the team and I prefer to wait until tomorrow to make the decision on the starting XI."

In terms of injuries for the London side, Eric Dier, Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga all remain out and will not feature on Sunday.

The Italian also hinted at starting Son Heung-min and Cristian Romero despite the risk of having both players in action for a third game within a week so soon after returning from injury.

He added: "We need them. I know very well to play three games in eight days could be not a risk but take a bit of a risk, we need them.

"They're important players for us, especially at the back. Dier at this moment is out and Romero has to play. Sonny we need up front because he's an important player.

"I think I'm not telling you a stupid thing that these are important players. They will play."
