Anthony Martial booed by Sevilla fans as Frank Lampard fires warning to Manchester United

Here are your Manchester United morning headlines for Friday, April 8.

Telles tells of Porto return hopes

Alex Telles has admitted he would like to return to former club Porto one day. The defender joined Manchester United from the Portuguese club in 2020 but has failed to stake a regular spot in the starting XI.

The 29-year-old also formerly played for Galatasaray and Inter Milan but he described his stay at Port as a “love story.” He told Brazilian podcast Wibcast: “It was the club I most identified with, it was four years there.

"Besides, my best career numbers were there, what made me come to Manchester United was what I did for FC Porto. I was very well received.”

Lampard warns United to expect tough Everton test

Frank Lampard has vowed that his Everton side will put up a strong fight against United in their encounter on Saturday. The Toffees are facing the very real risk of relegation following a 3-2 loss to Burnley on Wednesday.

Lampard has lost seven of the nine games he has overseen so far. He comes up against a United side who are desperately trying to salvage an unlikely top four finish.

But the Everton boss has said his team will not provide a warm welcome for United at Goodison Park in the lunchtime kick-off. After the Burnley defeat he said: “There are nine games where we have to give absolutely everything, every ounce that we have. I will certainly do that and everybody has to do the same.”
