Anthony Joshua shuts Conor McGregor up after 'b****' blast as he backs up mate amid post fight spat

Two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua told Conor McGregor he has pal KSI's back after the UFC star branded the YouTube fight star a "b****".

The boxing hero was circling the outside of the ring after his stunning seventh round knockout of Robert Helenius in London on Saturday night when he was greeted by the Irishman and a glass of his new stout to try. McGregor then pointed out KSI with many onlookers believing the MMA star called his new rival a risible taunt. But Joshua was not having it as he insisted "that's my guy" and stared at McGregor before he laughed it off.

McGregor continued his verbal volley on the man who will face Tommy Fury in the ring after Joshua and Eddie Hearn reacted to the win over Helenius – a late replacement after Dillian Whyte who had adverse findings after a drugs test weeks out from the fight. McGregor said: "I know your man KSI is in the crowd and he couldn't box eggs if he worked in an egg boxing factory. So if he wants to get in here I'll give him a final yoke, bare-knuckle if you want!"
