Anthony Joshua shares training footage with Fury v Wilder on a big screen in the background

Anthony Joshua was seen studying footage of Tyson Fury as he prepares for his highly-anticipated rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.

Usyk, the challenger, put on an incredible performance to beat Joshua via unanimous decision back in September 2021.

The former heavyweight champion is set to fight the Ukrainian again in May and is already hard at work in preparation for the affair.

Joshua shared a video with his 13.4 million Instagram followers yesterday with the caption ‘Kaboom’ and fans noticed an interesting detail in the background.

On a screen behind the ring, it appeared that Joshua was watching Fury’s win over Deontay Wilder.

Fans speculated that Joshua may be watching Fury for inspiration, or as a preview to what a fight against him would be like if he manages to beat Usyk.

The 32-year-old was heavily linked with a fight against the Gypsy King last year, but lost the opportunity when he was defeated by the Ukrainian.

Commenting on the video on Instagram, one fan wrote: “Look at the background.”

A second added: “Is that Fury/Wilder in the background.”

Joshua’s clash with Usyk could take place in England, with Wembley and the Cardiff Principality Stadium in the running to be the venue.

If not in the UK, the fight could head to the Middle-East – as he did for his rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr.

Promoter Eddie Hearn said: “There’s the UK, America, the Middle East – we’ve had offers all around the world for that fight. I’d like to do it in the UK and we’ll see.”

Fury, is 31-0-1 in his career with his one draw coming in his first match against Wilder.

The Gypsy King has announced that his next opponent will be Dillian Whyte with the fight commencing on the 23 April.
