Anthony Joshua has seemingly mocked Tyson Fury's boxing record with sarcastic tweet

When you think of some of the best British boxers in recent memory, both Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua come to mind.

The Gypsy King is a two-time world champion and undoubtedly an all-time great, including an infamous trilogy against Deontay Wilder concluding with the third fight on October 9, 2021.

Similarly, Joshua is a two-time former unified world heavyweight champion having accolades such as the WBA, IBF and WBO titles.

Both Joshua and Fury have fights lined up for the coming months.. Fury will battle Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium on April 23, while Joshua has a bout with Oleksandr Usyk in sight, attempting to correct his loss to the Ukrainian last time out.

Fury has even gone on record to suggest that Usyk will defeat Joshua should the fight eventually find a date. It’s unclear when or even if the aforementioned duel will take place, however, due to current world events and the champion being in his homeland.

Though, the two legendary British boxers continue to circle each other in the media. It was rumoured for months that there may eventually be an iconic fight set up between the two, but, of course, that never came to be. It seems now that the potential clash between the two may never come to fruition as Fury has stressed his intention to retire following the April 23 fight with Whyte.

Despite the fight seemingly never going to happen, that hasn’t stopped them from beefing each other online, and recently, AJ has responded to a fan on Twitter with a level of sarcasm regarding Fury’s career.

The fan tweeted: “Tyson Fury says he’s hanging up as the best to ever do it with a résumé of (Derek) Chisora, (Wladimir) Klitschko, (Otto) Wallin and (Deontay) Wilder three times.”
