Anthony Joshua's potential fight with Tyson Fury hinges on fine details
Anthony Joshua will be looking to continue his fine form in the ring as he takes on Francis Ngannou this Friday in Saudi Arabia.
The Brit had been scheduled to face Deontay Wilder in his next bout after defeating Otto Wallin back in December, but the Bronze Bomber was unable to defeat Joseph Parker on the same night. But AJ will now face the former UFC Heavyweight champion, Ngannou, who shocked the world in his professional boxing debut against Tyson Fury, losing out on victory following a controversial split decision.
The former two-time heavyweight champion will be hoping to continue his quest to the top of the division having won his last three fights following consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk. Joshua is currently well positioned with the IBF to fight for their world title against Filip Hrgovic should it be vacated by the winner of the four-belt shoot-out in favour of a rematch, as expected.

This appeared to be the most likely route for AJ to take in order to secure a fight against the winner of Fury vs Usyk, but he may not even need to take that risk. But, the war of words between the two Brits has gone on for over a decade now, with a star-studded fight never materialising despite a deal reportedly agreed back in 2021.
But boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that a fight between the pair could happen. According to the 44-year-old, Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Entertainment, is lining up a fight between the winner of Joshua's upcoming clash with Ngannou against whoever emerges
