JEDDAH: Anthony Joshua weighed in at 251 pounds, while Kristian Prenga came in at 261.4 pounds during Friday's official weigh-in at Jeddah Promenade, where boxing fans and local and international media gathered ahead of Saturday's heavyweight showdown.

The ceremonial weigh-in, held on the Red Sea waterfront, attracted a large crowd as the fighters completed the final formalities before headlining "The Comeback" boxing event at Jeddah Superdome.

Former two-time heavyweight world champion Joshua got the crowd involved by encouraging fans to cheer for his opponent before stepping onto the scales himself, drawing loud applause and highlighting the mutual respect between the two fighters ahead of their clash.

Addressing the crowd, Joshua said: "We're feeling good," before further hyping up the fans.

Prenga, meanwhile, issued a confident warning before stepping onto the scales.

"I'm going to knock Joshua out," he said.

The pair then faced off for one final staredown before leaving the stage, bringing fight week to a dramatic close.

Saturday's card will feature 13 bouts, including contests involving Saudi boxers.
