Anthony Elanga reveals what three changes Erik ten Hag made at Manchester United

Anthony Elanga thinks Erik ten Hag instilled a winning mentality and 'improved standards' at Manchester United this season.

Although the campaign ended in disappointment with defeat against Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley, the season was still considered a resounding success for Ten Hag, who won a trophy and secured a top-four finish.

The longest trophy drought at Old Trafford for over 40 years was ended when United won the Carabao Cup in February and after a promising 12 months at the club, there is optimism ahead of Ten Hag's second year in charge.

United are in the market for a world-class striker and midfielder this summer and it's hoped more progress will be made next term.

Elanga might have become a peripheral squad figure since the appointment of Ten Hag, but he was still full of praise for the Dutchman in a recent interview with United's in-house media, in which he lauded the impact he's made.

The 21-year-old reflected on the season and discussed the raising of the standards in training and away from sessions.

"We've got an impressive record now at Old Trafford. It's to do with the fans, our attitude and wanting to win," Elanga said. "That's what United is about, winning, winning and winning, which has been instilled into us by the manager.

"Also, from the players' desire to win and wanting to win trophies and I feel it can only get better. You can always improve in every area and I want to improve everything. I feel like in the second half of the season I've been able to improve more.
