'Announce him!' - Man City fans can't contain themselves as Erling Haaland teases arrival

Manchester City fans can’t wait any longer for Erling Haaland’s transfer to be completed after the striker teased his imminent arrival.

The Norwegian superstar is set to complete his move to the Etihad this summer after City came to an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over the transfer. The Blues confirmed the deal last month before the end of the Premier League season, with Haaland set to become a City player on July 1.

It’s now just a matter of waiting for fans before they get to see the striker in a City shirt for the first time, with the club holding off on an official unveiling for the time being. That hasn’t stopped Haaland from teasing his arrival though.

The 21-year-old, who is currently away on international duty with Norway, tweeted two pictures of himself as a child on Friday wearing an old City kit bearing his father’s number, 15. Alf-Inge Haaland of course played for the Blues for three years between 2000 and 2003.

Haaland captioned his tweet with the message: “To be continued”. In response, City tweeted: “See you soon!” leading to fans calling for the announcement to be made.

There is plenty of excitement surrounding Haaland’s arrival at the Etihad, with the striker being tipped to take the Premier League by storm. The 21-year-old has established himself as one of the world’s brightest stars at a young age, and supporters will hope he maintains his lethal streak in front of goal for the Blues.
