Annan Athletic manager Peter Murphy has wasted no time in preparing for life in League One. The Galabankies announced this week that winger Chris Johnston has signed on for another year at the club.
The 28-year-old joins Tommy Goss, Scott Hooper and Josh Galloway as players signed up for the next campaign. He said: “I’m delighted to sign a contract extension at Annan. “It’s a great place to be right now with the success of the play-offs and I’m looking forward to getting started next season.” Johnston, who is in his second spell with the club, will start his fourth season at Galabank after being a crucial part of the promotion winning side.
He recorded the second-highest number of assists in League Two with 15 from 31 games and scored six goals across the campaign.Read more on dailyrecord.co.uk
