'Angling for a move' - Journalist hints 'world class' star would 'jump at chance' to join Spurs

Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor has made fresh claims about Everton forward Richarlison, with the Brazilian reportedly looking to leave the club.

The Everton forward has been linked with a move away from the Toffees since the start of the summer. The Merseyside club eventually managed to avoid relegation, with Richarlison’s goals playing a huge part in their survival.

The Brazilian would offer much-needed depth to Spurs’ frontline, which has performed increasingly well under Antonio Conte. With someone like Richarlison in, Harry Kane could finally receive rests knowing that another goalscorer is there to take his place when needed.

Taylor had his say on the forward’s future, telling GiveMeSport: “I do think Richarlison is angling for a move and he will jump at chance to join any of the big English clubs if an offer arrives.

“To be honest, I think Raphinha looks more likely than Richarlison at the moment, but that’s not to say Spurs won’t push ahead with Richarlison because he’s obviously a player they’re very keen on.”

According to Matt Law, if Richarlison did make the move to Tottenham Hotspur, then it could result in Lucas Moura moving in the other direction, as the Premier League undergoes a shake up between clubs.

Richarlison, who has been labelled as ‘world class’, represents a smart deal for Spurs, who have quite the reputation for getting it wrong in the transfer market when it comes to forwards. They’ve been seeking an adequate back-up for Harry Kane since his rise to stardom. Now, they could finally get it in the form of Richarlison.
