Anger as football fans banned from every pub within TEN MILES of away ground
Bolton Wanderers supporters have reacted with anger after being banned from visiting pubs within ten miles of an away ground. The Whites are due to visit Port Vale on Saturday for a League One fixture between the two teams.
More than 3,000 Bolton supporters are expected to make the trip to Vale Park as Ian Evatt's team aim to continue their promising start to the season. Ahead of the match, however, Wanderers fans have been warned to stay away from all pubs in Burslem, where Port Vale's home ground is located.
In a tweet this morning, Staffordshire Police advised fans to arrange any stops at least ten miles from the stadium. The tweet read: "@OfficialBWFC fans travelling to @OfficialPVFC tomorrow:

"No pubs in Burslem for away fans. Please arrange a stop outside 10 miles of the stadium if required.
"Turnstiles open at 1330hr. Car parking can be booked at http://portvaleparking.co.uk. Coach parking at the ground £25."
The tweet soon attracted angry responses from Bolton fans, many of whom were highly critical of the police's decision.
The Burnden Way tweeted: "I know #BWFC fans may have a, at times, justified reputation but this is a joke." Another supporter added: "So I’m gonna have to do a half marathon to find a pub to drink in before the game."
