Angela Rayner speaks out after police issue new statement over tax allegations
Angela Rayner indicated she would not publish the “personal tax advice” she received on the sale of her council house.
That follows police issuing a new statement over allegations that the Labour Party deputy leader paid the incorrect amount of tax when selling her former home. Ms Rayner insists she consulted tax experts when the sale went through in 2015. Police previously decided not to pursue an investigation, but have now issued a statement saying they are 'in the process of reassessing this decision' following a complaint.
