Ange to Tottenham talks 'set' as Celtic boss prepares to meet Daniel Levy while agents make their final pitch

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou will reportedly meet Daniel Levy on Monday to seal the deal to become Tottenham's new manager.

The 57-year-old is edging closer to taking over in North London as Antonio Conte’s successor when the Scottish season is complete, with the Premiership champions already starting the hunt for his replacement. Postecoglou is aiming to win his fifth trophy in just two years in Glasgow's east end and complete a Treble when he takes charge of the Hoops during Scottish Cup Final against Inverness Caley Thistle on Saturday.

Follow the Hampden showpiece, The Sun report that things will rapidly gather pace with the Australian moving towards the Celtic Park exit door. Spurs' chief Levy will reportedly make his final decision on Postecoglou on his three-man shortlist - which includes former Spain boss Luis Enrique and Fulham's Marco Silva - with the Celtic boss to be handed the top priority of keeping Harry Kane at the club.

Before the clash with Billy Dodds side, Postecoglou stated he has not spoken to representatives Frank Trimboli or Leon Angel. However, the Daily Mail report that his agents "have urged" the Spurs chairman to "take a punt" on the Celtic boss despite anger among some Tottenham fans.

"No. I know you find that surprising. I haven't spoken to them about a million other things going on here as well.

"It's not just about me. This football club is planning for next year, planning to bring players in. There is a full range of conversations going on, but my focus is on making sure we win a game of football which is very very important to us."
