Ange Postecoglou sees Tottenham written off by 27 pundits as Celtic rave review can't shake sinking top four feeling

All but one BBC pundit tipped Tottenham to finish in the top four last season - but NOBODY expects Ange Postecoglou to take them there this season.

The former Celtic boss is currently rebuilding a Spurs side that finished eighth in the Premier League season last season, but he is waiting to see whether or not talisman Harry Kane picks Bayern Munich after a bid was accepted for his services. Ahead of Spurs' EPL term kicking off this weekend against Brentford, the broadcaster asked a wide range of pundits for how they thought England's top flight would play out.

And in a stark message of how they feel Tottenham will cope under the Aussie - who swapped Parkhead for London this summer - none of the 27 have tipped Spurs to clinch Champions League football. Chris Sutton, however, anticipates the high-octane attacking football to prove exciting for Spurs. He said: " I am excited about seeing Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham - I can't wait to watch 'Ange-ball' in the Premier League after seeing him at Celtic.

"Spurs were a team I was thinking about to finish fourth, but that does rely on Kane staying and they need to solve their centre-back issues. The other thing that is crucial to the way Postecoglou wants to play is having someone to play the first quick pass forward from midfield - they still need to get that right."

But he is the only one who can claim to be so kind to Postecoglou's chances. Ellen White admitted 'Tottenham might struggle to match their eighth-place finish from last season if Harry Kane leaves.'

Matt Upson was even more scathing. He said: "Spurs are miles off my radar. I'd pick Brighton to finish above them and having a better chance of making the top four."
