Ange Postecoglou's Celtic presser in full as Sead Haksabanovic query provokes coy response

Ange Postecoglou remained tight-lipped over Celtic's interest in Sead Haksabanovic.

The Rubin Kazan star is understood to be closing in on a move to the Premiership champions, with the 23-year-old having his heart set on Glasgow despite interest from four other clubs. Kazan have resigned themselves to losing the versatile attacker for a sum less than the £5.5million they paid to sign him.

Reports have claimed the Montenegro international would undergo a medical on Friday before his transfer to Celtic Park was finalised. However, Celtic boss Postecoglou offered no clue either way as to where the deal stands, instead reiterating his recent stance that the club remain open to adding further signings if the right opportunity arises. Ahead of his side's Premiership clash with Hearts on Sunday, the 56-year-old coach said: "I think we've been linked with a player every time I've done one of these. When and if we announce it, we'll announce it.

"As I've said all along we're agile and looking for the right person to bring in. If that right person is available and we can do a deal, we'll do a deal. Nothing's really changed on that front."

Asked if he was specifically targeting an attacking player, Postecoglou replied: “I’ve been pretty consistent, just check my press conferences. I’ve said if we can get a player who can play in a variety of positions, it’s just got to be the ideal player.

“Our recruitment this year has been around making our squad stronger and more robust compared to last year. If you look at the players we’ve brought in, that’s what they’ve added to our squad.
