Ange Postecoglou reveals why Rangers score check is no guarantee as 'pressure' inquiry gets shut down

Ange Postecoglou concedes Rangers are under pressure to keep the heat on his team after their rampant win over Ross County.

But Celtic boss says he probably won't be watching his rivals take on Dundee because his wife and kids dictate the Sunday TV agenda.

Postecoglou watched his team thump Ross County 4-0 with Giorgos Giakoumakis firing in another hattrick while Daizen Maeda also got in on the act.

It was a comfortable win over an in-form Staggies team who also had Kayne Ramsay sent off after the third goal.

The win moves them six clear of Rangers at the top with the Ibrox side due to play their game in hand against Dundee on Sunday.

But it might be Sing 2 rather than the cinch on his TV on Sunday as he joked: “My Sundays are dictated by my wife and kids, mate.

"Depending if Sing 2 is on the TV or something I’ll probably have to fight for the remote”.

Postecoglou was in good humour but that didn't stop him standing his ground with BBC reporter Jane Lewis.

She pressed him on the pressure now on their rivals to get a result in Tayside, and you can read the exchange below.

Lewis : "It keeps this wonderful domestic run going, 31 games unbeaten. Now you're six points clear at the top of the league, it puts Rangers under pressure tomorrow."

Postecoglou : "All those statements are true, yeah."

Lewis : "But you don't want to get involved in it?"

Postecoglou : "I don't see any reason to."

Lewis : "But you can understand why I'm asking the question?"

Postecoglou : "It's not in our control. What was in our control today was to put in a good performance. Ross County are in really good form, so you've just got to concentrate on yourself."
