Ange Postecoglou 'impresses' Tottenham chief Daniel Levy who will 'step up' Celtic boss interest after Cup Final

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to “step up” their interest in Ange Postecoglou after Celtic’s Scottish Cup Final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday.

Spurs chief Daniel Levy is said to be “impressed” by the Aussie, who has blanked all talk of the speculation linking him with a move to the north London outfit as he focuses on completing a domestic clean sweep at Hampden where they face the Highlanders. And the Evening Standard say the English Premier League outfit will look to the 57-year-old after the dust settles on Saturday.

The report states: “Tottenham are set to step up their interest in Celtic head coach Ange Postecoglou after Saturday's Scottish Cup Final. Postecoglou is a contender to permanently succeed Antonio Conte and is said to have impressed Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, who is leading the club's search for a new head coach and director of football."

The article goes on to say Tottenham’s incoming chief football officer Scott Munn is an admirer of Postecoglou, something Record Sport has already revealed.But it’s acknowledged "serious discussions with Postecoglou – who is on a 12-month rolling contract at Parkhead – will have to wait until after Celtic face Inverness in this weekend's showpiece at Hampden Park, with the Bhoys aiming to seal an eighth domestic Treble".
