Ange Postecoglou earns ultimate Celtic comparison as Hotline caller offers Gio extreme Rangers advice

Celtic's four-goal demolition of Rangers continued to dominate the Hotline with some Ibrox fans demanding wholesale changes ahead of their Champions League clash with Ajax. Hoops fans on the other hand are relishing the challenge of hosting the holders Real Madrid.

John Scott, Grassmoor, said: "It's not the gulf between Celtic and Rangers that's the problem with the Scottish Premiership. It's the massive gulf between Celtic and the rest of the league. They can now spend more on one player than most of their opponents need for their entire annual budget. It was disappointing to read Hugh Keevins' remark about the rest buying 'Who's he?' players from the lower leagues in Britain. Our league is a good example of the cost of living crisis, there's nothing to celebrate if you are shopping in the 'who's he? aisle."

Stephen Johnstone, Ardentinny, emailed: "Celtic players are saying they can write their names into the Scottish football history books by beating the mighty Real Madrid. The only thing they will be beating on Tuesday is eggs in the club canteen, they need to get real and stop dreaming."

Kenny Wilson, Moffat, said: "Once again Celtic showed who’s the best team in Scotland by thumping this overrated Rangers team and showing everyone how bad they really are. Celtic were simply outstanding all over the pitch and once again Jota showed his class with yet another quality goal and to think not so long ago fans on here were telling us Ryan Kent is a better player."

Andy Logan , emailed: "After Matt O’Riley's dominant display against the European giants from Ibrox surely it added another £5million to his valuation. What a steal he has proven to be and will make Celtic a tidy profit when he moves to the EPL"
