Ange Postecoglou could miss Celtic crowning moment as he prepares to blank Rangers game for cinema day out

Ange Postecoglou insists he will blank out the Rangers game on Sunday despite knowing it could seal the title for Celtic.

The Parkhead boss watched his side move closer to the Scottish Premiership trophy with a 4-1 romp over Hearts.

Celtic are now nine points clear of their rivals and anything but a victory for the Ibrox side at home to Dundee United on Sunday would see the Hoops crowned champions.

A Gers win would mean Celtic could seal it at Tannadice on Wednesday but despite being on the brink of history, Postecoglou will spend the day with his family on Sunday.

“I’ve said before that my day off is the kids day and apparently there’s a new movie out - The Bad Guys - which is on the agenda so we’ll keen an eye on that,” he told Sky Sports.

But Postecoglou did challenge his players to finish strongly with a couple of games left as trophy day at home to Motherwell follows the Tayside trip.
