Ange Postecoglou Celtic exit bandwagon jumped on by ally as Leeds predictor defended during live radio debate

Legendary Australian goalkeeper Mark Bosnich has insisted Ange Postecoglou WILL leave Celtic for the Premier League.

And he was quick to defend a pundit who predicted the Australian could be on his way to Leeds United at the end of the current campaign – adding Chelsea and Tottenham to the list of interested clubs. Ahead of Javi Garcia stepping into the Elland Road hot seat Aussie radio doyen Andy Maher insisted the manager was in the running to take the top job at the end of the Scottish Premiership season.

Since then, Postecoglou's stock has only risen with the boss claiming the Viaplay Cup and taking Celtic to the brink of a second consecutive league title – with the Hoops remaining on course for a Treble if they can see off Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final. On Melbourne radio show 'The Drive Home' host Andrew Gaze called out fellow Maher for "going out on a limb" and predicting Postecoglou would make the move to Leeds United.

Maher attempted to defend the stance, stating: "Based on what I had told by someone, I didn't just make it up..." Bosnich offered surprising back-up, stating: "He has been considered for it. He has been considered for the Chelsea job and the Spurs job."

Maher lapped up the back up: "Thank you, Bos!" Bosnich went on: "It's a wonderful compliment for someone when he first went to Celtic, the stuff they were coming out with. He basically reinvented the wheel and played football they have never seen.

"They are on course to get a Treble this season. It's a learning curve in the Champions League, because it's their first time in the Champions League in five years. Kenny Dalglish made the point that he has got to be very careful who he chooses because he doesn't want to go to a Premier League
