Andy Murray survives in stunning Paris Olympics win to continue emotional journey before retirement

Sir Andy Murray will continues his illustrious tennis career at the Olympics after fighting back from a set down to progress in men's doubles at Roland Garros.

The 37-year-old has already confirmed that the Paris tournament would be his last as he partnered Dan Evans in the doubles with Team GB as they took on Japanese pairing of Taro Daniel and Kei Nishikori. The three time Grand Slam winner and fellow Brit Evans looked down and out after losing 6-2 in the first set, but recovered in sensational style, winning the second set on a tie break before saving five match points in the decisive third set tie break to progress to the second round.

The tournament marks a fitting end for the two-time Olympic men's singles champion - who has described those wins as the most memorable days of his career. His gold medals from London 2012 and Rio 2016 bookended the most successful period of his career which included winning the U.S. Open (2012) as well as two Wimbledon titles (2013 and 2016).
