Andy Murray attends Rangers vs Dundee United clash as Hibs supporting tennis superstar heads for Ibrox

It was time to take in the Ibrox atmosphere for Andy Murray on Saturday as the Hibs fan watched on as Rangers defeated Dundee United.

The tennis star was spotted in the crowd as Rangers secured all three points to avoid a fourth defeat in a row - something that would have matched a record number of losses on the bounce for the Light Blues. A double from Antonio Colak put Gio van Bronckhorst's man 2-0 in front before Liam Smith bit back to make it 2-1 after 59 minutes. It was action packed as the managerless visitors looked to get something from the game, but the hosts held on. And the two time Wimbledon champion was there to take in the action on Saturday afternoon in Govan.

Rumour had it that fellow tennis ace Cameron Norrie was making a long awaited trip to Ibrox, accompanying his Rangers-daft dad. But it was Murray the cameras snapped instead. Murray was invited to train at the Rangers school of excellence after impressing for his local club Gairdoch. But tennis was his biggest love instead. However, it looks as if the club still has a spot in the 35-year-old's heart.

The Scotsman is in Glasgow ahed of the Davis Cup, with Glasgow one of the four host cities for the competitions Group Stage Finals this year.
