Andy Halliday on 'worst Celtic team to win the league' theory as Rangers fan offered pointed on air reminder

Andy Halliday has shrugged off claims from a Rangers fans that Ange Postecoglou 's Celtic would be the worst team to win the league.

Victory over Ross County kept the gap between the Scottish Premiership 's top two at six points heading into derby day at Celtic Park on Sunday.

Postecoglou's men have one hand on the trophy as they approach the final four games of the season.

However, criticism has emerged online of the team and their performances despite grappling back control of the title race from Rangers.

One caller on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard looked to take Celtic' s potential success apart before Callum McGregor even had the chance to raise the silverware.

Caller Andy insisted that this was the worst Parkhead side he has ever seen - and would be the poorest side to ever life the Scottish title.

The Rangers fan insisted the only reason their rivals were on course for glory is because the Ibrox side had thrown the title away.

However, Hearts midfielder Halliday wasn't having it.

He responded: "I'm a simple believer that the league table doesn't lie.
