Andre Onana reacts to penalty decision on Manchester United debut vs Wolves
Andre Onana says he was not concerned in the slightest when it appeared he had given away a late penalty in the win over Wolves.
Manchester United got their new Premier League campaign off to a spluttering but winning start on Monday night as they scrapped past Wolves 1-0. Raphael Varane grabbed the decisive goal in the second half when he headed home Aaron Wan-Bissaka's cross.
But Wolves did not look like a side whose manager only took charge five days ago and will leave Manchester aggrieved they haven't come away with at least a point. The visitors were the best team in the match but were lacking any cutting-edge in attack.
Wayward finishing cost them plenty but they also came up against a goalkeeper in inspired form as Onana kept them at bay with a string of saves in an impressive debut. However, it did look as though all his good work was thrown away deep into added time.

The Cameroonian stormed off his line in an attempt to claim a cross, missed the ball and instead flattened striker Sasa Kalajdzic. It appeared the referee was heading to the pitch-side monitor to check the incident but instead booked Wolves boss Gary O'Neil for protesting the decision and United escaped with all three points.
It was a nervy moment but Onana insists he never lost his cool. "To be honest, no," he told MUTV when asked if he was worried he'd given away a penalty.
