An Incredible Thread Of What Wayne Rooney Has Achieved With Derby County, In His First Job, Is Going Viral

It's a sad situation off the pitch but on it, Rooney is doing something truly remarkable in his first-ever job as a manager.

Rooney found out Derby were going into administration last year while watching Sky Sports News and he received no information from owner Mel Morris.

A lack of transfer budget has seen Rooney give 20 academy players their debut since his appointment last year, all of who are fully committed to the cause.

Veteran defender Curtis Davies claims Rooney once said: "I'll stand in front of you, I'll take all the criticism."
