Amy Dowden told she's 'glowing' as she reunites with fellow Strictly star and heads 'back on the dance floor'

Amy Dowden has been told she is 'glowing' after reuniting with her fellow Strictly Come Dancing star ahead of getting 'back on the dance floor'. The 33-year-old appeared on Channel 5 News on Thursday (March 21) to chat to presenter Dan Walker, who was a contestant on the BBC dance contest back in 2021.

Amy's appearance on the news programme comes as she's getting 'back to reality' after returning from a holiday in Marrakech. The Welsh dancer jetted off to the Moroccan city with Strictly pro Carlos Gu and her sister, and debuted her new gorgeous blonde hair whilst she was away.

It comes as Amy recently shared the joyous news that there was no evidence of cancer left in her body. The ballroom dancer was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in May last year, and underwent a mastectomy before going through eight rounds of chemotherapy. She rang the bell to signal the end of her treatment in November.

The Strictly professional has now said she is 'starting to feel more like the Amy before cancer' as she spoke to host Dan Walker on the Channel 5 show.

Sharing the brilliant news, Amy told Dan: "Day by day I'm starting to feel more like the Amy before cancer. You can't even imagine at the time them saying there's no evidence of the disease, I won't get the all-clear for five years, but no evidence is the best."

Amy then spoke about getting back on the dance floor and rejoining the Strictly cast. She said: "Last year I'd go back stage and have a little cry. Cancer took me away from everything I loved and I just wanted to be out on the dance floor and I couldn't. To go back on Strictly this year would just be a dream."
