Amir Khan and Kell Brook warned over 'homophobic and racist language' at fight press conference

Amir Khan and Kell Brook's insults turned personal in the final pre-fight press conference on Thursday, where Sky Sports were forced to apologise for the language used.

The fiercely-anticipated grudge match between the pair takes place on Saturday night at the Manchester Arena, where a decade-long rivalry will finally come to a head.

Both fighters have not hid their disdain towards one another, which was once again discussed in Thursday's press conference, but on numerous occasions both went over the line.

Prior to the Sky Sports apology, Brook spoke about how the pair shared a room together during their amateur days - something that Khan denied.

“Kell you need to word that differently please, don’t be saying that we stayed in the same room that doesn’t sound right," he said, then insinuating Brook was homosexual by adding: "Especially with what I have heard, you should have said sharing the ring or something like that."

Kell quickly responded: “It’s you who is on the gay sites, w****** yourself off.”

That earned the pair a warning from host Adam Smith, who urged the fighters to 'stick to the fight', but Khan then appeared to accuse his opponent of racism - directly asking about alleged comments made this week.

Amir Khan versus Kell Brook, live from the AO Arena, will be broadcast on UK TV on Sky Sports Box Office.
