American visits Manchester for first time and is shocked by 'true stereotype'

Anybody from Manchester will know the people are friendly and the vibes are immaculate - but how do outsiders perceive us Mancunians?

Now when TikTok user @kjordyyy visited for the same time, he admitted it was a shocking experience, noting the northern stereotype is true. He said: "I was not expecting this."

Then he filmed the video to "give observations of Manchester" – and the first thing he noticed was "people are so much nicer" - although he didn't specify than where.

"Going to coffee shops and the people are calling me love," he gushed excitedly. While this may be commonplace to those who were born and bred here, to people visiting, it may come as a pleasant surprise.

"People are stopping on the street and smiling," he shared, as he walked down Market Street, shocked to be "hearing some music". He videoed the van playing music saying: "In the middle of the city bro", but this will be no shock to Mancunians who are well aware of the chaos of the road.

"Everyone's dancing, everyone's vibing," he said, then describing the accent as "absolutely mental", refusing to do it because he'd been mocked for attempting a Welsh accent in a previous video.

When he saw the tram, he was shocked, saying it didn't feel like he was even in the UK. "I could definitely get used to this," he praised, as he walked back up Market Street.

His amazement was apparent when he saw the "corn truck" as he stopped to ask the man did he just sell corn – and was mesmerised when he said yes.

While browsing the Piccadilly Gardens street food on offer, he said Manchester is "such a wholesome little vibe bro" saying he should've visited "earlier".
