American psychologist hits Budapest for Tobi Amusan

To save Tobi Amusan from the trauma of her suspension by the Athletes Integrity Unit (AIU) before she was eventually cleared to participate in the ongoing World Championships, the United States has dispatched a top sports psychologist to Team Nigeria’s camp here in Budapest.

Though, Amusan, the World Athletics Record holder in 100m hurdles, told The Guardian on Monday that she has put behind her the trauma of her suspension by the AIU over the Whereabouts Failures charge, it was gathered on Tuesday morning that a top American sports psychologist has arrived to give her the backing she needs to conquer here in Budapest .

A team officials was overheard saying that the American psychologist arrived in Budapest in the early morning of Tuesday for Amusan.

Amusan began training for the title defence on Monday morning at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest, Hungary.

Amusan was cleared by a panel set up by World Athletics to review the AIU suspension last Thursday.
