Amber Valley local council elections 2023 results in full

Voters inAmber Valley, Derbyshire, have had their say in the 2023 local elections.

This is the first all-out election in Amber Valley following the recent boundary changes. Forty-two councillors have been elected across wards including Alfreton, Alport & South West, Belper East, Belper North, Belper South, Codnor, Langley Mill & Aldercar, Crich & South Wingfield, Duffield & Quarndon, Heage & Ambergate, Heanor West & Loscoe, Ironville & Riddings, Kilburn, Denby, Holbrook & Horsley, Ripley, Ripley and Marehay, Smalley, Shipley & Horsley Woodhouse, Somercotes and Swanwick.

Before the election, Amber Valley Borough Council was run by the Conservative Party.

Local elections took place for more than 200 local authorities across the UK. In Greater Manchester seats were available in the region's 10 councils. Mayoral elections are also taking place in Bedford, Leicester, Mansfield and Middlesborough.

Voters were only electing their local councillors in this election with the next General Election not scheduled until 28 January 2025 at the very latest.

Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday, May 4, with the count taking place on Friday, May 5.
