Amazon slashes £60 off Fire tablets for kids in the Spring Sale

As Amazon launches its Spring Sale ahead of the Easter holidays, discounted devices designed specifically for children are expected to prove popular with shoppers.

The sale starts at 6pm on Monday, March 27 and runs until 11.59pm on Wednesday, March 29, and Amazon has already confirmed that there will be £60 off the Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Tablet and Amazon HD 10 Kids Pro Tablet. The Fire HD 8 Kids and Fire HD Kids Pro Tablets will also be reduced by £60 and there will be £50 off the Fire 7 Kids tablet.

The Amazon Fire Kids range offers a safe way for children to explore and enjoy age-appropriate content. While the Amazon Fire HD is aimed at children aged between three to seven, the Pro version is pitched for slightly older children up to the age of 12.

All versions offer the tech spec you would expect from Amazon, including front and rear-facing cameras, 12-hour battery life and up to 32GB of storage. For older children, there is access to more apps and web browsing and fewer restrictions from the parental control side.

They also come with durable cases to make them more resistant to knocks, drops and everyday kid life, and the Fire HD 10 comes with a larger 10-inch screen. The real beauty of the Kids Fire HD range though is the one-year Kids+ subscription service that comes with the purchase.

Offering access to thousands of kid-friendly entertaining and educational content, Kids+ also allows parents to set up Parental Controls on their tablets.

Parents can adjust settings so kids don't see ads, in-app purchases or links to external websites and social media, and content can be downloaded for offline use on Amazon, Android and iOS devices.
