Amazon shoppers hail 'brilliant' gadget for any drivers needing to de-ice their car windscreen in seconds

Many Brits woke this morning to the unwelcome news that they would have to de-ice their cars before going about their day. It's a task most of us dread - adding 10 minutes of standing out in the cold to your morning routine. Large parts of the UK were hit by a yellow weather warning for snow and ice today, which looks set to remain in place until Thursday.

If you're in the market for a low-effort solution to the motorist's perpetual winter conundrum, Amazon has cut £10 off a nifty car windscreen defrosting gadget from Kärcher that will scrape the ice off your car windscreen for you. The electric scraper fits perfectly in the palm of drivers' hands and works with a quick wipe across the frozen area.

Amazon is currently stocking the EDI 4 electric scraper, which can get to stubborn ice thanks to its plastic rotating blades, that lightly scrape off stuck pieces, a much quicker alternative than adding lukewarm water to a spray bottle and waiting for the ice to melt. That or the old-fashioned credit-card-style scraping that'll leave your hands frozen.

The price has now dropped from £56 to £48 on Amazon, but shoppers can also pick up a full set, Kärcher EDI 4 Limited Edition, with a spray ice solution and microfibre cloths for £55. Another similar product is being sold by the brand Bohisen for £36, The Mirror reports.
