Amazon's 'money saving' £14 gadget hailed a 'gamechanger' for anyone who drinks tea, coffee or hot chocolate

There is nothing worse than making a cup of tea or coffee, setting it down and forgetting about it completely until it is stone cold. When this happens, the options are make another one, tip it down the drain, or reheat it in the dreaded microwave.

But luckily, Amazon has a solution to the hot beverage problems with its electric Coffee Mug Warmer. And what's more, it is has been slashed by to £14.39 down from £16.99.

The electric digital coffee cup warmer slows down the cooling of hot drinks by keeping the heat between 40°c-60°C. It features touch controls, an LED display and a water-resistant plate. To use, just touch the button to turn it on and adjust the temperature and timing gears as needed. The timer has an adjustable time of between one and nine hours, so you can set the time to keep the temperature consistent.

You won't need to worry about forgetting to turn off the power, the warmer senses the cup and automatically heats up. And the mat will cool down after mug is removed, and it automatically shuts down after five minutes of inactivity. It is said to fit most cups, mugs and stainless tumblers. For the best results, flat-bottomed glass cups or stainless cups are recommended.
