Amazon's five-star rated whisky that's so smooth it's 'easy to sip' slashed by 32% to £19

Amazon shoppers are snapping up a whisky that has been dubbed 'an excellent choice for both newcomers and seasoned whiskey drinkers' and it's currently reduced. At the time of writing The Woodsman Blended Scotch Whisky 70cl is down to £19 from the usual £28.

The blended Scotch is said to be great both straight up and mixed - with a smoky old fashioned with maple syrup being the advised cocktail. As the name suggest its ages in scorched barrels which give it its smoky taste.

There's a blend of freshly-built American Oak casks and double-scorched Bourbon barrels which lead to a smooth finish. It's brought in an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 from across 1,255 global ratings.

One shopper wrote: "Having been a JW red drinker for many years, this was recommended by a friend. Wow what a recommendation! The bottle is stunning and with a cork top. The flavour is great and really smooth, be careful as you can easily keep drinking it. Superb value."

A second penned: "Easy to sip neat or on the rocks.
