Amazon's 'cost efficient' air conditioner shoppers say makes a whole room 'ice cold' in 30 minutes

Summer is here and even though it doesn't feel super hot, there are some sweaty hot spells on the way according to the Met Office. Earlier in the week, we saw temperatures of 25C reach parts of Manchester which felt positively balmy.

But like many Brits, many of us struggle to sleep or operate in the heat - but Amazon has a deal that might help those uncomfortable nights. That's because you can get a portable air conditioner for less than £200 - and you might be thankful for it.

The model has an air cooling mode, a 24-litre capacity dehumidifier (another feature which can make a room feel less muggy), and a handy timer feature for its fan mode. This may be a perk for those who don't want to run the aircon at all times and offers a cooling feature for mid temperatures.

"Bought this cooler last week for the heat wave and it's an absolute lifesaver" said one Amazon shopper who went on to say they only left it running for a short period of time and felt the effects.
