Amazon Prime Video give first look at thriller Wilderness starring Jenna Coleman

Amazon Prime Video has released first-look images of new thriller series Wilderness, due for release this autumn.

The UK Original drama stars Jenna Coleman as vengeful wife Liv and is based on B.E. Jones' novel of the same name. A twisted love story, the series sees a dream holiday and a supposedly happily-ever-after quickly turn into a living nightmare.

British couple Liv and her husband Will (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) seem to have it all and are embarking on an exciting new life in New York. But their bubble soon bursts when Liv learns Will is having an affair.

With a once-in-a-lifetime American road trip ahead of them, including the Grand Canyon and Yosemite, Liv sees it as a chance to get revenge. After all, they're visiting destinations where accidents happen all the time.

But Liv's plan is foiled when the couple bump into Will's colleague Cara (Ashley Benson) and her boyfriend Garth (Eric Balfour) and the four of them continue hiking together.

On the themes of the series, writer, creator, and executive producer Marnie Dickens said: "Who doesn’t know someone who’s been cheated on? That gut punch on discovery, the trail of paranoia and suspicion it leaves behind, the difficulty of trusting again.

"It’s enough to tip anyone over the edge. And that’s where we meet our heroine, Liv, as she’s lied to over and over by the man she loves. Of course she wants revenge, and I, for one, hope she gets it.”
