Amanda Holden says 'we're back' after fans do double take in teenage daughter mistake over robe snap

Amanda Holden has fans doing a double take over her latest social media post as she appears to be ageing backwards. The Britain's Got Talent judge has since declared 'we're back' as she confirmed that she and her celebrity pal Alan Carr are filming the second series of their BBC show.

Earlier this year, BBC viewers saw Amanda join forces with the comedian for Amanda and Alan: The Italian Job. The series, filmed last year, saw the duo purchase two dilapidated apartments for one euro each in picture-perfect Salemi in Italy before spending the summer renovating them. Then, at the end of the summer, the property goes on sale and all the profits are donated to charity.

And sharing a video of clips from their Italalian adventure to Instagram, Amanda announced back in May: "Over the moon to let you know that the second series of Amanda and Alan: The Italian Job is in the making. @chattyman and I start filming in a few weeks! Exact destination to be revealed soon!!"

Weeks later and the pair have now touched down in Italy. Taking to the new social media site Threads on Tuesday morning (July 11), Amanda posted a photo of herself and Alan getting into the spirit of their latest Italian adventure by sipping on a couple of Aperol Spritzes.

"We're back!!" the 52-year-old declared alongside the post on the new Meta app, from the company behind Facebook and Instagram, which has a text-style format which encourages users to post updates and join public discourse, similar to Twitter. She added: "Series 2 of Amanda and Alan #TheItalianJob."

It comes after Amanda showed off her early morning view to her social media followers on Monday (July 10)
