Altrincham neighbourhood café bar serving lazy brunches and evening suppers to open in former bike repair shop

A neighbourhood café bar featuring breakfast brioche rolls, homemade doughnuts, and craft beers is to open in Altrincham at the end of the month.

à bloc, which will take over the former bike repair shop and cycling café Hale Coffeeworks unit on Stamford Park Road, will be open all day - offering breakfast bakes, lazy brunches and evening supper clubs all served from a kitchen fronted by former Pico’s chef Niamh Molloy.

Coffee and produce will come from local suppliers, such as Blossom Coffee Roastery and Most Bakery, whilst the bespoke cocktail menu has been curated by Holly Morton, formerly of Altrincham speakeasy Riddles.

à bloc also plans to host occasional evening dining events, taskings and workshops hosted by guest chefs. The venue will be decorated in collaboration with local businesses, including plants from Green & Grounded, custom ceramics by Moss Studio Store and uniforms supplied by Uskees.
