Altrincham fire LIVE as huge blaze breaks out by retail park with massive plumes of smoke seen

A fire has broken out near a retail park in Greater Manchester.

Smoke can be seen rising over Altrincham from what eyewitnesses have described as a 'large fire'.

The blaze appears to have started near Altrincham Retail Park in Broadheath earlier today (March 22).

Images of the smoke billowing over the area have been shared with the Manchester Evening News.

Emergency service vehicles have been spotted rushing to the scene.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.
