"Almost certain" - Transfer insider drops major Everton claim on £82.8m-rated duo

It is ‘almost certain’ that Everton stars Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin will both leave the club in the upcoming transfer window, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The Toffees have encountered financial problems of late, and their two star attackers could be sold over the summer in order to fund a much-needed overhaul of the first-team squad.

Everton revealed an eye-watering £121 million loss for last season, meaning they have lost close to £400m over the last three years combined.

And their off-the-pitch troubles were heightened after Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov was sanctioned by the UK Government following his nation’s invasion of Ukraine.

Usmanov was due to sign a naming rights deal for Everton’s new Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium via his USM firm, but that is no longer an option, leaving a reported £300m ‘black hole’ in their playing budget for the years ahead.

Therefore, manager Frank Lampard may be left with no choice but to cash-in on his prized assets, keeping the club afloat while allowing him to bring in some players of his own.

According to The Sun, Arsenal and West Ham are on ‘red alert’ over the availability of Calvert-Lewin, who is believed to have an asking price of £60m.

Meanwhile, Football Insider claim Everton are willing to accept offers north of £50m for Richarlison after Premier League giants Manchester United were credited with an interest in the Brazilian.
