Ally McCoist warns Rangers snipers to 'get a life' before he's called out over wake up alarm gaffe

Rangers royalty Ally McCoist has urged detractors of the Europa League finlaists to keep quiet ahead of the big one in Seville.

But the 59-year-old momentarily lost his cool on live radio on the day of the game as his wake up alarm was heard by talkSPORT host Laura Woods.

The much-loved pundit admitted he made a gaffe over the time difference, as he was up bright and breezy to give fans an update from Spain.

McCoist is buzzing ahead of the duel with Eintracht Frankfurt but was left smarting by some of the punters from other clubs hoping Rangers come up short.

And Aberdeen fan Stevie got it in the neck from Rangers' all-time top scorer as sent a message to the cynics doubting Gio van Bronckhorst 's side.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: "Listen, I wanted Aberdeen to win the Cup Winners' Cup, whenever it was.

"Get a life, Steve, get a life."
