Ally McCoist steps up Angeball love affair as Rangers hero ready to buy a Tottenham SEASON TICKET

Ally McCoist has made it no secret in the past he's an admirer of Ange Postecoglou – and he's preparing to buy a season ticket at Tottenham after his eventful Premier League debut.

Rangers hero McCoist made acquaintances with the then Celtic boss last season and the two had a hilarious live TV exchange after the League Cup Final. McCoist had jokingly offered Postecoglou a lift down south if it meant he'd leave Celtic, and after he brought that up on Viaplay, the pundit bent over and offered him a piggy-back.

And it seems his admiration for the Aussie has extended south with Spurs chasing a Champions League spot in his first season in charge. Tottenham lost the North London Derby with Arsenal at the weekend, and were 3-0 down after 38 minutes before roaring back late on and making it 3-2. And McCoist reckons that just about sums them up after a season full of ups and downs.

He said on talkSPORT: "Oh come on, they've been a breath of fresh air. They were terrible at Newcastle (4-0 defeat) but that aside, some of the entertainment they've given us. Some of the games, absolutely classic. At Chelsea, when they got players sent off and they were wide open. I'm not a Spurs fan but I'll tell you what, out of all the teams, they'd certainly be in the top three for a season ticket.

"An absolute breath of fresh air. I've really enjoyed watching them. The weekend probably summed them up, that's Tottenham. They've got no real level of consistency over 90 minutes. Defensively they'll be slack during the game, but they'll entertain you in attack.

"That's the way they are. So, naturally, Spurs want one part of it shaded out and the other part increased. That's going to be Ange's challenge."
