Ally McCoist slams ‘sickening & pathetic’ Kurt Zouma for slapping a cat

Former Rangers boss Ally McCoist has blasted Kurt Zouma after a video surfaced of the West Ham United footballer slapping and abusing his pet cat.

The Frenchman has apologised after the Sun obtained a video in which Zouma can be seen picking up and throwing his cat, while he also launched objects at the feline.

Though the Metropolitan Police do not plan on investigating the video, West Ham have vowed to hold an internal enquiry.

And McCoist has summed up the public reaction to the video by slamming Zouma for his ‘sickening’ behaviour.

‘I walked in this morning and obviously we have the front pages on the bottom floor and I had to have a double take,’ McCoist told TalkSPORT.

‘I looked at it and you know when you just glance and you see the papers [then] you go up to the top floor and I looked at it again and I found myself reading it…and you know something, nothing should surprise us anymore.

‘That was actually sickening because I came up and one of the boys gave me the bvideo and in normal circumstances I’ll be honest with you I wouldn’t look at the video because I just don’t want to see stuff like that. However, due to the fact that we came on and have to talk about these things, I had to have a look at it.

‘It was sickening, it was pathetic, it was bullying of the extreme. I don’t know, again, it just tarnishes the image of professional footballers. It was embarassing, shocking and horrible at the same time. It was all of those things.
