Alloa return for Neil Parry as Wasps hero joins backroom staff

Former Clyde goalkeeper Neil Parry has returned to Alloa as goalkeeper coach for next season.

The 38-year-old was released by Clyde at the end of the season, having played just six times for the Bully Wee last term, the last of which came on February 10 in a 2-0 defeat at Stranraer.

But he has been snapped up by Wasps boss Andy Graham to replace Robert Glen, who was part of then-boss Brian Rice’s backroom team in 2022.

Rutherglen-born Parry, who counts Queen’s Park, Albion Rovers and Airdrie amongst his former clubs, signed for Clyde on an initial two-year deal in 2021, but signed a one-year extension last summer.

Alloa announced Parry’s return today after an absence of three years, saying the goalkeeper is “an individual who needs no introduction to Alloa fans”.
