Allan Saint-Maximin ruled out of Brentford clash but Ryan Fraser starts for Newcastle United
Allan Saint-Maximin was still not deemed ready for Newcastle United's clash at Brentford today.
The French winger was not in the squad for the encounter in the capital as the Magpies look to continue their unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Eddie Howe was able to name fit-again Ryan Fraser in his opening line-up while there was still no start for Bruno Guimarães.
Instead, Jonjo Shelvey skippered the team and was set to patrol the midfield with Joelinton and Joe Willock.
Fraser was part of a three-pronged attack with Chris Wood and Jacob Murphy.
Emil Krafth started the game at right-back with Dan Burn and Fabian Schar preferred in the middle to club captain Jamaal Lascelles whole Matt Targett was named as left-back.
Javier Manquillo was only named as sub despite shaking off a calf injury.
