Allan McGregor laughs off Rangers 'time to reflect' poser from Kris Boyd with Celtic in his crosshairs

Goalkeeper Allan McGregor insists he only has time to focus on the next game rather than look back on his Rangers career.

The veteran stopper will be between the sticks as the Premiership leaders travel to face title hopefuls Celtic in a blockbuster top of the table clash.

Having lifted 11 pieces of silverware during his time at Ibrox, former Rangers teammate Kris Boyd was keen to look back on his trophy haul in an interview with Sky Sports.

Boyd was profiling the stopper for the broadcaster ahead of the Celtic Park showdown, after his milestone 40th birthday earlier this week.

The pundit asked: "Do you ever have time to reflect on what you've achieved?"

McGregor quipped: "Time? There is games every five minutes man.

"There is no time to sleep never mind reflect on things.

"So no, not really. I think that will come after I retire, talking and telling stories or whatever it is.

"But time to reflect, no. I need to concentrate on the next game."

Question marks had been raised over whether McGregor would get the nod between the sticks on derby day after costly errors in the draw with Ross County.

However, boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst has given him his full support.

The Dutchman said ahead of the game: "Allan is our number one and has saved us many times.

"There were no discussions around taking him out of my team."
