'All this b******s' - Frank Warren slams Tyson Fury critic Carl Froch over cut claims

Hall-of-Fame promoter Frank Warren has responded to criticism of Tyson Fury.

Warren hit back at critics such as Carl Froch, calling their comments "b******s" for doubting Fury. He also had strong words for former cruiserweight champ Johnny Nelson.

Fury, aged 35, had to delay his big fight with Oleksandr Usyk because he got a cut in training last week. Now the fight's set for May 18 in Riyadh, but Froch didn't hold back, saying Fury should've been more careful and worn a "face guard" while sparring.

Froch also said he wasn't sure if Fury was really hurt, then said the cut looked like it was "seven to 10 days old".

"I don't think there's any excuse for him to get cut," Froch said on his YouTube channel. "It never happened to me. I used to wear a face guard.

"No elbows can get through so you mitigate getting injured. That's what you should be doing before a fight of this magnitude - taking massive precautions. I'm blaming his trainer, I'm blaming Tyson himself for not taking that precaution, whether you're uncomfortable in it or not."

He later told talkSPORT: "I’m not so sure [that it will happen in May]. To start with, I wasn’t so sure about the cut, I wanted to see the cut and I wanted to see him stitched up.

"After seeing Tyson Fury last night on his Instagram, the cut to me doesn’t look like an acute injury, it looks like an injury that is healing. It is scabbed over, the swelling has gone down, and the bruising looks about a week to ten days old.
